The weight of a squirrel, but not a bird, on any of the perches closes the ports so it cant get at the food. This trigger weight is also adjustable. The Squirrel Beater is superbly engineered from rugged UV-filtered ABS, polycarbonate resins, powder-coated aluminium and stainless steel components. The large capacity means that you shouldn't need to fill it so often and it now also features an optional perching ring.
